Superpower Counting

Ok, you've been bitten by a radioactive ladybug and as a result have increased your brainpower by an almost infinite amount. You decide your mission is to take on the casinos. Assuming that all existing counting systems are equally easy for you to master which one would you choose to go on your utility belt?

With this new found Deep Blue like processing power you decide to develop the Ultimate Counting System. How would this casino-busting system look?

Cheers

It wouldn't be a counting system. It would be a sequencing system, and it would calculate the player's value for the next card based on the last 4 cards dealt.

There are memory experts who can memorize the order of every card in 10 shuffled decks. With a little power from the radioactive ladybug I would learn how to memorize the casino's shuffle procedure. Just like the old Thor computer, I would rule the casinos!

Or maybe I just created a more advanced version of Snyder's Folly!

NOTE: Not to brag or anything, but I can memorize the exact order or 10 decks of unshuffled cards. :D

Yep, Snyder's folly sounds like the way to go, except you would then have the raw brainpower to supercompute the optimum strategy play given the remaining cards in the shoe.

Tricky to beat!

So even with superhuman powers the casinos wouldn't be easy to beat ;) !

I suppose what I wanted to know was if you could equally accurately perform any of the exisiting counting systems which would would you choose to use and why?

My thoughts on what the most powerful system could be were a system where you keep a seperate count for all the individual cards and will therefore know the exact odds of any card coming up. What I am begining to understand is that this system would probably add only a few fractions of a percentage in terms of betting correlation and playing efficiency to the best existing systems available. It's the law of diminishing returns.

Now, if I could only open that wormhole...

They are easy to beat! :D Anyone who can keep a +1/-1 running count can get an advantage. The hard part is earning enough money to make it worthwhile. That part takes talent.

That’s true. Most card counting systems are 95-99% accurate for betting and 60-70% accurate for playing. There is plenty of room for improvement, but the overall advantage would not be significantly greater.
