Is double deck worth my time?

Is this particular game of double deck worth my time?

I live in Western Washington, and am under the age of 21. There are only two casinos in my area that allow 18+ year olds to gamble. The absolute best game available in my area that I can play is double deck wherein the dealer must hit soft 17 and players cannot double after split (we can, however, double on any two cards). According to 'Play Blackjack like the Pros' I am starting out with a .54% disadvantage. Furthermore, this particular casino gives a measly 60% penetration. My question is - is this game worth my time? I am not looking to kill the casnio at this point in my life (my bankroll isnt nearly big enough) but I DO want to play for fun and still show even a little profit. Given these options and using the kelly criterion betting strategy (betting an amount proportional to your advantage, which in this case, would have to be on running counts of + 2 or more for even a SLIGHT advantage) - am I looking at even a LITTLE profit?

Yes you can profit from that game.

If you use Hi-lo and , spread 5 , you will have an edge of 0.68%.

Using some advanced counting system like Hi-opt II , spread 5, you are looking at an edge that will be about .9%

It would take you about 30 000 rounds to obtain a result reasonably close to the expected result.

Not a big edge, but deffinitely you will not be long term loser.

You should expect to win $ 5.27 / hour if you spread 5, and your bankroll is $ 1000

Thanks for the info! I am looking to increase my total bankroll to at least $3,000 before playing again. I am now rigorously studying Stanford Wong's 'halves count' and using an optimum betting strategy to get the best edge! :D
