Need Book Recommendation

#1
Hi, I just recently decided to learn about advanced blackjack. I went to a bookstore and because they have a limited number of books about blackjack, I bought this book called "Winning blackjack for the serious players" by Edwin Silberstang. It is ok, I mean its useful for a person new to blackjack like me. But I am a very probabilistic person, so I feel that when he talks about the basic strategy regarding when to hit/stand, when to split/double, not enough information is given about the reason, or even the probabilities of winning the house by splitting/doubling. I would prefer some basic strategy with the whole maths/probabilities calculated for making certain moves against the house's one upcard, so that a person can decide relatively the effect of a +/-count on his decision to split/double/stand/hit against the house. I also cant seem to find this type of info on the net, I'd appreciate if anyone can give me some advice.

Other than that, I also hope that you can recommend me some of the good books. The books I prefer are those which has a strong maths/probabilities foundation to back it up, as I am still new. From what I have seen from this forum, Blackbelt in Blackjack, Blackjack Ace Prediction, KO Blackjack, Big Book of Blackjack, Blackjack Reality seem to be mentioned. I'd like to know which ones are really good, or have I missed out some other really good ones?

I also heard that the best counting system is usually a more complex one, so if anyone knows any very effective card counting system, can you recommend me one of these? I am very eager to learn, and also I dont mind complexity.

It all depends on what kind of games you are going to be playing. If you plan on playing mostly SD and DD games the strongest will be counting systems that side count aces. You want strong playing efficiency(PE) in SD and DD games. Omega II and Hi Opt II pretty much the same power and bother are level 2. Uston APC is little stronger is a level 3 I personally dont think it is worth the extra effort.

For shoe games Betting Correlation is alot more important than PE.

If you are mostly going to play games with 4 or more decks Wong halves is one of the best , which is level 3 system. RPC and Zen count are level two counts that are very good also. Playing Efficiency isn't as effective as more decks are added into play. Zen count is a good all around count it has good PE and BC.

I use Omega II for SD and DD games and when I play shoes I will use Zen count. I mostly play SD and DD games.

I don't know if you would want to start out with any of the systems I mentioned. Most people start with an easier count then move on after they get some playing experience in the casino and see how difficult it is. You want a system that will allow you to play longer, play more effective and at the same time being able to act like a regular gambler who is having fun.
