Default shifts

I have read how many ap's will play during different shifts at the same casino. How do you know when shifts begin/end? Similiar to a normal work day? Or, do you stake places out ? Any info would be much appreciated.

I have found that if you are chatting with the dealer you can just ask them if you are in a place for the first time. Something like " you look like you have had a long day what time do you get to go home?" or other some such comment. Never ask the pit boss. For the critters you will just have to be observent.

Each casino will set their own hours although they will usually be something like:

Day: 12pm – 8pm
Night: 8pm – 4am
Grave: 4am – 12pm

Also, the pit crew will be staggered so they will not leave at the same time as the dealers.
