The title says it all.

"Hours-long traffic jams are expected to result from a series of new Interstate 15 restrictions around the Cajon Pass in Southern California that are tentatively scheduled to start in late September and continue through October."

"Planners suggest that I-15 commuters avoid weekend driving, take long detours, fly or simply cancel their trips while work is under way."

Looks like I'll be spending my weekends in Palm Springs instead!

"The first closures will affect some southbound lanes from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. A larger shutdown is scheduled the following weekend affecting traffic in both directions of I-15 and I-215."

"And later this month, a different Las Vegas message -- as in "Don't come here, at least not driving the way you'd normally drive" -- will resonate in some of this city's largest feeder markets. "
