CRAZY HORSE SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY

At 1:15 PM, PDT, the Las Vegas City Council voted to permanently revoke the liquor license of the Crazy Horse Too. After Mayor Oscar Goodman abstained based on my ethics complaint, a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese, and the Council by unanimous vote revoked the license on a permanent basis and fine Rick Rizzolo $2.2 million dollars.

Following the hearing, the FBI began monitoring the next door business of Buffalo Jim Barrier. At 1:45 PM, dancers were observed cleaning out their lockers, and other club employees observed leaving the shuttered topless bar.

What's the story behind this? What was Steve's ethical complaint? Won't somebody think of the strippers?!

Crazy Horse Too stripped of liquor license

Sep 7, 2006 07:21 AM PDT
KVBC TV CHANNEL 3 NEWS

After alleged mob ties, tax evasion charges, and a paralyzed customer, the city council has had enough of the Crazy Horse Too. Now, rather than running his business without a liquor license, owner Rick Rizzolo may decide to shut down. City attorneys say the club is corrupt and has been for years, and former City Councilman Steve Miller says the reason is Rizzolo.

"I don't consider Rick Rizzolo a human. I think he's a moron, a thug, a goon," said Miller.

Miller says the beating that Kirk Henry received at the hands of a bouncer is just one of the reasons why the club should be shut down.

"And we cannot afford as a community to allow this. I congradulate the city council for their action today in ending this blood bath," said Miller.

And they said the Mob left Vegas years ago.....

INSIDE VEGAS by Steve Miller

LAS VEGAS - Three weeks after what the U.S. Department of Justice described as a "racketeering enterprise," and "serious threat to the community" was shut down by the City of Las Vegas, Crazy Horse Too owner and newly convicted felon Rick Rizzolo is trying to pull a rabbit out of his hat.

First he produced Stuart Cadwell, a partner in the trouble plagued Spearmint Rhino chain of gentleman's clubs to testify on Sept. 12 in District Court that he was offering Rizzolo an amazing $45 million for his club -- with one provision; the liquor license would have to be reinstated by the City.

Cadwell's mysterious offer was $10 million more than Rizzolo said he needed to pay off all his liabilities including $9 million to beating victim Kirk Henry. The offer was also $20 million above what a New York company paid in 2005 for the brand new Jaguars -- the former topless bar owned by Michael Galardi located in a free standing building on Desert Inn Road. Jaguars, now known as Scores, is bigger, plusher, and twenty years newer than the Crazy Horse; a dilapidated converted warehouse next to the tracks on Industrial Road.
