Default More CSM Questions

1. Theoretically, is the count with a CSM always zero?

2. I understand that a counter depends on knowing what the count is; but with a BS-only player, does the CSM help/hurt his long-term odds?

3. If a CSM discourages counters and makes for faster play, why doesn't every BJ table have one?

Right.

The machine itself actually lowers the house edge somewhat:

However, since they are playing many more hands per hour the players will actually be losing more money than at a hand-shuffled table.

Because many players don’t like the machines, especially the precious high rollers. The casinos only make money from the game if people are playing it. Also, the dealers and floormen hate the machines because they are fairly unreliable. They often break down and damage the cards.
