This forum has a section for Land Based Casino discusions and updates, etc. There is also a section for Online Casinos.
What about Casinos at Sea?????
Is there room for Sea Based Casinos, ie Cruise Casinos.
Most all cruise lines have casinos and I think a lot of BJ players are interested in occasional updates.

I would think cruise casino information would go into whatever "land based casino" section it would fit best in. Such as Carribean, Europe, etc. Just wherever the cruise ship is put it there. Or you could simply post it in the general forum.

General thread it is!

I've got some questions re cruise games. Some about the games and some about the tournaments. If I don't get fair a response I'll try in General or Caribbean. Maybe even in Betting strategies.

First questions are in general. I've been on six cruises and never counted before (didn't know how). Now I know how, and plan to play what ever BJ they offer. Preferably pitch, but will play shoes if I must. I will still draw the line at CSM, and not play them, even if that is all they offer. I figure since I am not playing for comps or anything, there is no need to play a higher min. I can play lower min and spread more instead of playing higher min and spreading less. Is the reasoning here correct? Also is there any thing that I should watch for in the BJ games on a cruise vs a land based casino since there is no gaming comm to oversee the game? I have a lot more general questions, but this a start. I'll see what comes of these and save some for later.

Second questions re tournaments. I've never been on a cruise that didn't offer at least several BJ tournaments during the cruise. Best I can remember they are a little different than landbased tournaments. Most of them are several tables/rounds, according to how many players enter. Seven players to a table. Seven hands per round. Players start with $500. Player with the most money at the end of each round advances to a final round. If not enough players for seven rounds the two with the most advance. Players buy in and are given a colored card with number 1-7 on it. The color is the round/table you play on and the nubmer is your seat. You don't get to pick seats. Since there are only seven hands, what kind of betting strategy should be used or what kind of playing strategy should be used? Any advise, even if not asked, it is appreciated. I probably don't know what questions to ask when it comes to cruise tournament play!

Tournament questions can go to the tounrament forums. There is a link on the main page for that.
