Default kansas city casinos

Can anyone help me with conditions at Kansas City casinos. I will be staying at Harrah's, but would be interested in conditions at any area casino.

Thanks!

AMERISTAR:

Located probably less than 5 miles from Harrah's. 9th largest casino in the world...or was for a while if it is not currently in that position.

Missouri has a funky law that says a player has to sit out 2 hours after loosing $500 in a 1 hour period. Something like that. They require that you present a Player's Club card each time you buy in at a table. By law, you are not allowed to give chips to another player. Missouri casinos are not allowed to comp drinks...nor can you pay or tip for a drink with chips...has to be cash.

Two floors. The upper floor table games are shut down early in the morning when the crowds thin out in the wee hours.

Three variations on Blackjack.

(1) Double Deck....Shuffled by Shuffle Master. Dealt face up to players, one up and one down for dealer. Table minimum $10. I've only played this game a couple of times so I may be off on the rules. DOA, DAS, H17, NO RSA. 3:2 BJs. I think this kicks the house edge up to right at .40%

(2) 6-Deck...Shuffled by Shuffle Master. $5 minimum though they do have some higher limit tables (downstairs. Rules exactly the same except they deal face down on DD. with $25 minimums and they serve snacks at the tables.) DOA, DAS, H17, RSA. 3:2 BJs.

(3) 6-Deck "21+3". Same as normal 6-deck except for a side bet. With the side bet, you are playing your first two cards plus the dealer's up card. If the three cards make a Straight, Flush or Trips, you are paid 9:1.

At around 10:30 to 11am, some of the low limit upstairs tables are opened. There are three $3 tables opened up (one is non-smoking). Same rules as downstairs except there is no side bet.

On the $5 tables (max $500), if you want to play two or more spots, there is no problem. On ther $3 tables, you must bet at least $6 on each spot for two spots and $15 per spot for three spots. They really do not want you playing multiple spots on the $3 tables. Table maximum on the $3 is $100.

Default Argosy

The Argosy in Kansas City has the same rules on 6-deck games as AmeriStar I believe. I was there on Aug 13, 2005 and played a little. Lost my butt! <LOL>

$5 mins, $500 max (I think). 3:2, DOA, DAS, RSA, H17. Your basic .60%+ house edge game. My wife says that the slots seem to pay off better there than at AmeriStar...on that I have no opinion. Because I couldn't get anything going on the BJ tables, I was ready to leave after I'd spent a half hour there!
