IDing in Vegas?

Hi, I was just wondering what happens when the pitboss ID's you. Do they scan the ID or what?

Ive been to vegas twice, once when i was 22, and once when i was 23 (last spring) I rarely get carded. But i think they just look at it and give it back to you. I dont remember being carded last time I went.
