Default Tyson to fight women?

Quote:
SPORTS WIRE: Tyson 'very serious' about fighting women

October 17, 2006
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson said fans shouldn't expect much of a fight when he steps back into the ring. But he promised an entertaining show when he opens ''Mike Tyson's World Tour'' on Friday in Youngstown, Ohio.
At a news conference to promote his return, Tyson said he likely would fight only four rounds and that future stops on the exhibition tour might feature bouts against women, including Ann Wolfe. Wolfe is 21-1 with 15 knockouts.

''She's such a prominent, dominant woman in the boxing field,'' Tyson said.

When asked whether he was joking about fighting women, Tyson said, ''I'm very serious.''

But Russ Young, a promoter for Wolfe, said that never will happen.

''That's the first we've heard of it,'' Young said. ''No state would sanction that. She would be outweighed by 60 to 70 pounds. Ann would never entertain the idea.''
a few things come to mind.

is he that broke?
what is in Youngstown? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youngstown,_Ohio
the interview was from an unnamed Italian restaraunt. was Eddie Debartolo in the area?
hmmm
anyone want to speculate?

I can't imagine why people would want to watch a Tyson fight exhibitions when he is so far past his prime...

Guys,
we have not seen the last public spectacle from old Mike.
his name counts for something, and could be used to promote a circus if need be.
Youngstown, Ohio ? aka Crimetown, USA; Murdertown, USA; The Hoboken of Ohio
this could be the start of something new, or the end of the line.

Question: What did the people of Youngstown, Ohio, do when their sheriff was accused by the FBI of taking payoffs from the Mafia, signed a "confession," and then beat the wrap by defending himself in court?
Answer: They elected him to Congress.

Could it be like something right out of Pulp Fiction?
aged boxer makes deal with Marcellius Wallace.

oh man!
one of my favorite movies, and cant remember...oh well it started with a z

I think there is a possibility that Tyson has sold out.

he might be looking for a pushover to knock him down. then take the odds on it, like marcellius.

"It was fun, that's my first time boxing since my last fight," Tyson said.

I seem to recall that this gimmick didn't work for Andy Kaufman either...
