Basic Strategy Chart - Online Play w/reshuffle

#1
1. Which Basic Strategy Chart should be used for play on an online casino where there is a resuffle after each hand ?

2. Is there a 'Counting Strategy' that can be applied in the same circumstances as above when there are two of more players in addition to the dealer ?

Thanks

Use the basic strategy chart based on the number of decks in play. Shuffling after every hand doesn't affect basic strategy at all.

As for taking into account the other cards visible at the table, there are only a few decisions that are close enough for this to matter when they shuffle every hand. Standing with 16 vs Ten is the main one. If there are more small cards than large cards visible, stand. Otherwise hit.

No Win Situation ?

Thanks for your clarification in the previous POST.

Following up, it appears from the research I have done that in the absence of being able to employ a counting strategy, there is no way to win (make money) in the long term as the house invariably has the "edge."

Is the true ?

If so, why would 'professionals' play BJ ? (I play poker (7-Card holdem) and can count on winning at least some money based on my skill level)

If not, how can winning be accomplished, at least conceptually ?

You will lose money in the long run because the game favors the casino. Though there is one game advertised on this website where the player has a slight edge of 0.11%, at Pharaoh's Casino. Ken has a whole section on the message board devoted to his play on their site, its under blackjack forums-online casinos. Sadly in the end I think he lost.

Nonetheless the way people try to make money playing bj on the net is by taking advantage of the many bonuses offered. For example a lot of casinos will match your initial deposit as a bonus. So if you initially deposit $100 they'll give you an additional $100. Of course the bonuses vary from casino to casino and you'd have to figure out which is best but if someone gave you a free $100 to play you can see how you can win money even at a loosing game. Keep in mind as well that casinos often force you to bet, for example, 20x your bonus before you can withdraw it. So with basic strategy after a couple hours of play you might lose $20 but now you can withdraw your original $100 plus an extra $80, so now you've made a small profit. You must be careful though about trying to find a reputable casino and also read the fine print about the bonus very carefully. I don't have much experience playing at online casinos so I can't suggest one to start out at but I'm sure others here could.
