Last week, it was reported in the press, based on comments given by Mike Tyson , that the former champion would face 66-year-old pop veteran Tom Jones in a charity exhibition bout.

"It's just going to be marvelous. Tom Jones is going to be one of the boxers," Tyson said. "What if I get beat? Who knows - I might even enjoy it!"

IC Wales reports that a spokesperson for Tom Jones has denied any reports of a clash between Tyson and Jones. The spokesperson said that press reports of Tyson's comments were the first time she had of any kind of arrangement between Tyson and Jones.

After watching the post-fight reactions to last week's exhibition bout between Tyson and Corey Sanders, a person can't blame Jones for not wanting to get involved.
