Default No "Surrrender" at online casino Blackjack games

(Sorry I mis-posted this message to the other thread as reply)

Recently I played with a few online casinos but all of their Blackjack games do not provide the "Surrender" option to players.

Does anyone know which ones offer "Surrender" and the most favourable options to players of Blackjack?

Default Where to surrender

Actually, surrender hasn't been very common in online casinos, but that recently changed. Playtech introduced a new game they're calling 'Blackjack Surrender', which is six-deck blackjack plus a late surrender option.

I was just planning to do a blog entry about this game, because if you play at Playtech casinos, there's no reason to play their regular blackjack anymore. In order to offer late surrender, the dealer checks their hole card under tens and aces before you're allowed to act on your hand, including surrender. So, that means you can safely double and split when appropriate against a dealer ten and ace, unlike in their regular game.

The Blackjack Surrender game uses US hole card rules, while their normal blackjack game is European No Hole Card rules.

Note that it appears that some Playtech casinos don't have this game yet.

For a list of Playtech casinos, here's a link to my other site:

For another place that offers surrender, try Global Player.

Default New Playtech version better by 0.12%

The simulation results are in.
The new Playtech Blackjack Surrender has a house edge of 0.40%, compared to 0.52% in their regular blackjack game.

You should surrender 16v9,T,A and 15vT.
Don't surrender (8,8), split instead.

But the BS engine gives us 0.36%, Ken.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The "single deck" game is WORSE - 0.42%. That's almost as bad as a standard 8-deck.

Gotta love Playtech.

Neat idea, this. Now I can stop emailing you.
