Default HOLY CRAP o.O

I wanted to buy a PS3 on eBay but they are $2,000-$5,000... who the hell pay that much for them? If they are so expensive it's probably because people actually pay that much to get one

You should just buy a PS2 and pretend it is the latest in technology and enjoy their games for a couple years when the PS3 has gone down in price. You will be living in the past but it could be an advantage play if you are totally convinced.

Waiting in line to buy several of the new gaming systems is a good advantage play. I know some people that buy as many as they can when they come out knowing they will sell out. Then they can sell them for 2-3k on ebay during the holiday season.

I've actually thought about doing that.

There are so many reasons to wait to buy new systems, as if exorbitant price wasn't enough. All systems have mediocre game lineups at launch, QA missing, hurried pieces of trash with a few gems in between. Also, Next gen systems try to do everything and are plauged with bugs and it usually takes time for the company to weed them out. For example the PS3 is already having problems playing many PS2 games it is supposed to play.

I say throw the $1000 in PS3 system, accessory and game money into your BR and kick up your betting a notch. YAY!
