Cobras(not Mustangs) and split-window Vets here! Love to watch those auctions! The last couple of years, Hemi's have taken the show pretty much and deservedly so. Those were beasts!

I live a couple miles from The Barrett-Jackson, but I usually tivo the thing, because entertainment is great.
First time I went about 30 years ago, it was very different.
They had Duesenbergs, Bugatti's, much older cadillacs, and cars that needed restoring. that is what I miss the most is seeing the old classics in unrestored original condition.
today, the focus is centered on muscle and hotrod type cars. 99% are finished way, way beyond brand new condition from the factory. the paints are enhanced, body work flawless etc. but its a heck of a show.

ditto. i know i'm lucky to have survived that era. drag racing, road ralley's and beer. it was a way of life. again i feel lucky to have survived it. the way it was back then i don't think it could be that way today the way traffic is...
