Default Good way to deal with side counts!

I've been thinking about it and here is my idea: for side counts you count with letters! Let's say you count aces, you get a low card and some random cards, your running count is now 1, next hand you get an ace and an equal number of high/low cards, your count is now 1A, next turn you get a low card and another ace, your count is now 2B, etc. You just say the letter after your running count so you always know how many aces have been dealt (A=1,B=2,C=3,etc), you can even count 2 tables at a time with the ace side count since it's easy to just remember stuff like 3C, 2B, etc.

So, good idea?

We just had this discussion in a different thread and it's what I do. Just make sure you know which letter corresponds to which number. I have already been doing this.
