Default thread got deleted...help??

So I made a thread and I don't know what went on it but it was deleted. Is MIT a controversial subject or are some people just very immature? I would still like some help and if there was any useful information could someone help me out? Is the MIT material useful? Also what books and sites are useful? I also don't quite understand the BS chart. thanks

This is THE MOST useful site. Start with Knockout Blackjack by Ken Fuchs. Your FIRST ASSIGNMENT is to study the BS chart UNTIL you do understand it, then reply with relevant question(s). zg

Sorry noseslidesam, your post wasn't part of the problem, but the replies quickly got out of hand.

zg is right. Start with basic strategy. If you're having trouble with something, just ask and we'll try to help.

What about the BS charts don't you understand? They are pretty simple, but I can see where they may appear intimidating to a newcomer. With the exception of a few troublemakers, most people are happy to help educate beginners.

Look at the Basic Strategy and play this game at the same time. On the Basic Strategy chart, the number in white is your total and the number in yellow is the card the dealer show (he only show one single card). If you see H, you need to hit (take another card), and refer to the chart again. If you see D, you need to double, which is you double your bet and take a single card, if you see stand, you need to stand and stop taking any other card. If you have a pair and you see P, you need to split: double your bet and separate the pair into 2 different hands, you will receive a card in each and then you can play them separately.

Practice, practice, and practice even more!
