Default Help on betting strategy

In some casino im planning to play, people are allowed to make bets for you, which means say i'm at a table playing bj and there comes john doe and sees me and because he thinks im handsome, winning much, etc he can place his bet on my circle if i win he gets paid just as if he played a hand and takes his chips...

So i think teamplay... me betting flat and teammate spreading or both spreading but i'd doit conservative(is that a word?) i dunno, what you guys think? is it more likely to attract heat, less or same?

And what spread would you recommend me, hi-lo count, 6D, s17, bad pen

TIA

This strategy will work but only with a full table. It will look very strange for someone to place a bet on your spot if there are other empty spots at the table. Some casinos also have a rule where the "Rider" (the standing player) is not required to make an additional bet if the "Caller" (the seated player) decides to split. By carefully chosing which splits to bet on (and which hands to make the Caller split) the Rider can get an additional advantage. See the section on Backline Strategy below:

As far as a bet spread, it would depend on your bankroll and what size spread the Rider would be using. The Caller could be flat betting while the Rider uses a BP-style of play. There are numerous ways to play with a partner. In many cases it will depend on whether you want to look like strangers or friends. There are some strategies that are so obvious (like the person playing your spot when there are empty spots available) that you have to act like friends in order for them to work. Other styles of play will work without anyone knowing that you are together.

Is this allowed in AC? I've never seen it done.

It used to be, but I don't think it is anymore.

It is definitely allowed and very common up at Foxwoods, however. Because the backlining player has the option of putting down another bet or not on a split it is a powerful technique for an AP.
