Finding the most effective system

Well, being new to the Blackjack scene, I've followed the countless reminders to memorise BS and am currently working on that. I know that there are numerous different systems of counting that people on this forum use but I was wondering if I could be advised for the most effective one for the following rules:
- dealer stands on soft 17
- double after split
- no surrender
- can double down on 9,10,11
- no. of decks in either 6 or 8 (depending on the casino)

Also, being in Australia, ASMs (as well as the crappy CSMs sometimes) are used, if this has any effect on counting. I'm more that willing to put in the time and effort required to perfect a system but want to ensure that the greatest advantage will be gained from the one that i choose to learn.

It depends on how smart you are. I'd say the mose effective is Zen Count by Arnold Snyder in Blackbelt in Blackjack. I don't know for sure but I think it is the most effective system. If not it is really close and there are people on this site that use it.

Actually for your shoe games use KO. It actually has better betting effiecenly. Funny huh? KO is 98% and Zen is 96%. That's all that matters probably. Betting effeciency is WAY more important than playing effiecency in 6 deck games. Go with KO. It's #1
Not to mention it's the easiest professional counting system ever divised.

The first step is to learn basic strategy. Card counting will not help you unless you already know how to play properly.

Most people start with either KO or HiLo. HiLo is a bit harder because you have to estimate the number of decks remaining and do a little division. It's not that bad once you get used to it though.

The rules you mentioned will be pretty tough to beat. The house has a pretty big advantage so you will not have very many opportunities to raise your bets. The ASMs will not hurt you but the CSMs are unplayable.
