Default Aruba Casinos

Am going to Aruba in a couple of months. Can anyone tell me what games they have and what's best to play or avoid? Just a BS player, not a counter. I know enough to stay away from things like 6/5 payout or Spanish 21

I'm reading "Blackbelt in Blackjack" and have the venerable Mr Renzy's "Bluebook" and "21st Century Blackjack" on order from Amazon (couldn't find them at the local Barnes and Noble store). Doubt I will make the leap into counting before then or while there. Anything else I can do besides practice BS? Any other books that might add something?

Default Arubian bj

Bon bini Casey, I was there about 2yrs ago and if I remember correctly they play bahamian bj. It's a little tough to remember all the rules but here goes, 6deck with autoshufflers, the dealer has no hole card last card out is his. You can double on 9 10 11 and dealer beats your blackjack. They two things that stand out in my mind was the amount of money alot of poor looking people had and the lack of playing ability. I think wonging would of worked but I don't know if counting is allowed or not. I really didn't need the hassle of it because I get a little chicken when it comes to foriegn countries and thier laws. I did notice a gaming commision man at the desk when you go into the casinos. I didn't get to alot of the casinos but hey. blackchipjim.

Bon Bini, Jim. Thanks for the info. Bahamini rules? That's not too encouraging. I'll look into it more, but not sure how wonging can help with autoshufflers.

SCM: Thanks for the Comp City suggestion. Wasn't even thinking about comps for a trip, but what the heck .. guess just a dinner or two would be nice,

Casey

One more thing... Throw away "21st Century Blackjack". Awful book.

If it's just a regular autoshuffler used between shoes, then regular counting and wonging still works. (it does eliminate fancy stuff like shuffle tracking)

It's the continuous shufflers that are the devil.

Ken, any specific reason you don't like '21st century blackjack'? I haven't read it myself, but am amassing quite a library of blackjack texts including ones that i've know previously have mistakes in them like David McDowell's 'Blackjack Ace Prediction' as i like to try and find the mistakes myself, but if the book is just another garbage system about 'trend analysis' or thel likes i won't bother.
Thanks

RJT.
