basic strategy for online casinos

#1
I have recently started a betfair account, attracted by their Zero House edge casino. I have had mixed success using basic strategy, and now I am wondering if there is anything we can do as gamblers which will give us an advantage over using basic strategy.

Also, which basic strategy table is best for betfair zero lounge? The rules are: Dealer stands on all soft 17s, BJ pays 2-1, an infinite deck is used.

Finally, is Betfair zero lounge a good casino to use, or are there other casinos that give good bonuses which overcome their slight house edge? (BTW, I'm based in the UK)

Thanks
perter

(P.S. Slightly off topic I know, but does anyone know of a free website that lets people play each other at Poker (not for money) Someone I used to play regularly for fun has recently moved to South Africa)

If they shuffle with each hand and use infinite decks (infinite decks listed below), then not much.

I'd assume the standard mult-deck stand on soft 17 table. BJ pays 2-1 shouldn't have a great effect on strategy, as you cannot increase your rate of BJs by altering strategy.

Betfair is a decent casino to use. However, if your goal is gaining an edge over the casino, bonuses are the way to go. With some of the best bonuses, you are expected to more than double your deposit with optimal strategy. Some casinos give smaller bonuses with each deposit that give you a larger edge over the casino than at Betfair. The links in my signature show a list of the best ~120 sign on bonuses in my opinion. Click on the column "Bonus EV" to sort by average gain with optimal strategy.

I am not much of a poker player, but I believe several of the larger poker sites offer non-money play. I'm dating a girl who plays for fun at Party Poker. She says she has never played for money.

Using a "composition-dependent" instead of "total-dependent" basic strategy could theoretically give you a slight edge in a naturally zero-edge game. However, if the deck truly is infinite (i.e. you and the dealer could each draw 22 aces), then there is no effect of card removal, making composistion-dependent strategy completely worthless.

You could find one of the boss media casinos with the single deck game that offers a microscopic edge. See Ken's experience with it here:

But yeah, if you want to try to make money from this, stick with bonus hustling.

Yes, it is my site. I post on several forums with this handle, including 2+2 and Casinomeister.
