bankroll question

Ok so I found a casino an hour and a half away that has one table with a 6 deck, H17, DAS, no surrender. The betting minimum is $5 and the max bet is $100. It's the only casino in the area that has a shoe with less than a $25 min. Since Im starting with only a $5000 bankroll and not working I'm thinking this is my best bet. Am I correct? Now Im pretty new to this counting cards business and I hear the best strategy is to wong in and out but since this is the only table at this casino, looks like i can only wong out without looking too suspicious. Also, could you please let me know what my betting unit should be, my bet spread, and how many units I should bring to a single session to actually make this worth my while. And how many days and hours a week should I visit this casino? I'm not working at the moment so I would like to try to make somewhere between $600 and $1000+ a week, if thats even possible. Thanks to anyone who actually spends the time to answer my questions. I really appreciate the help.

In all seriousness,if you are unemployed,have $5,000 you can't replenish and have only a single table to work with,you are better off not playing.
The chances of you being able to pull $500 a week on a regular basis under these circumstances are nil.Maybe less.

yeah, I don't think this is a money maker.

For instance, my bankroll is slightly higher, I have more, slightly better tables available to me about 30 min away, my max bets are about $50, which is still overbetting, and my calculated earnings are something like $8/hour, not counting tipping and gasoline (which put me in a negative game, probably).

Hey Blackstack I hate to come across as being negative but you are going to be in tough with your limited playing conditions and options. With your small bankroll you would be better off wonging the $25 tables and just playing the positive counts. Invest in a calculator like cvcx to create some usable bet spreads for yourself. As for making $600-$1000 a week you would be lucky to make that in a year with only a $5000 account. One of your biggest problems is going to be expenses. Your 3 hour return drive to the nearest casino is going to set you back over $20 each trip. That's a huge hole to get yourself out of each week. With your account size you will probable make less than $10 an hour.

If you insist on going the Blackjack route, don't count. You aren't going to earn 20% of your bankroll per week. Instead, go online. Take that $5000 and hit the Livingston H. Crapford out of the bonuses. If you make bonus hunting your full time job, and can aggressively go after them (ie: play 2x or 3x the flat-bet, accepting a ~5%-10% RoR/bonus), you can get, like, $20/hour.

If you go into a casino, you must go in expecting that you will lose every penny in your pocket. If that $5000 dissapeared right this very moment, with no hope of getting it back, what would you do? Can you afford it? Would it be disaster? If so, DO NOT COUNT! The moment you start to lose, you will go on tilt and blow it in a minute.

Online, at least you are only risking $100 at a time chasing a bonus. If that 0.001% happens and you bust out, you're out $100. It's not as bad. There's more bonuses to hit, and as long as you Basic Strat and flatbet, you WILL hit it. Unless you bust out 50 bounses in a row. In which case you were probably going to get hit by a meteor anyways. =)
