Charles Barkley claimed that his $700,000 winnings "Was all profit (from) blackjack and I bet on the Super Bowl. I had the Colts," Barkley said in an interview with Phoenix television station KTVK. "I played a lot of blackjack."

Barkley is considered somewhat of a whale in vegas, revealing in an ESPN interview in May that he has lost approximately $10 million over the years. He said Monday that he lost $2.5 million "in a six-hour period" one night last year. "It’s a stupid, bad habit. I have a problem," Barkley said. "But the problem is when you can’t afford it. I can afford to gamble. I didn’t kill myself when I lost two and half million dollars… I like to gamble and I’m not going to quit."

Barkley was elected to the Hall of Fame last year, averaging 22.1 points and nearly 12 rebounds in a 16-year career. He was the league’s MVP in 1993 with the Suns, and he won gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics as part of the original U.S. Dream Team.

He's a whale alright, last summer I watched him drop $600,000 betting on average $35,000 a hand. He was a horrible player. I get a strange feeling he had an epiphany back then and is on his way to becoming a better player. Watch for more big wins from Sir Charles.

It would be a good time for an AP team to hit the casino when Charles is on the property. You could get away with a lot more with a high roller playing loads of cash like that.

This is true, also I'd bet he would be willing to pay good money for someone to maybe spot and signal for him. Thats a good way for a gauranteed paycheck.

I see Barkley once in a while in public. (he's hard to miss from all the weight he's gained since retiring)

I can hit him up for the business, or one of you cats could write to him.
but honestly, I suspect someone else has already.
