anyone have info about quality blackjack games in Colorado?

Was there last winter as part of a ski trip. Don't believe too much has changed since then.

The casinos are mostly converted turn-of-the century buildings so they are on the small side and very crowded on weekends.

If you're playing for fun, they are recommended. If trying to accumulate significant winnings, you'll have to look elsewhere. The tables have a $5 MAXIMUM bet per hand. Minimums on the weekend were $2 or $3. True, if you split and double down you might get $25 out on a hand but most of the time, it's going to be a $5 max.

Worth a trip if you're in the area but never gonna be a destination.

Blackhawk and Center City(?) are about an hour by bus from Denver.Very few hotels,all rather poor by Vegas or AC standards but expensive.An interesting diversion if you are in Denver,but thats about it.

On the upside you can probably practice your card counting skills without any heat at all. You just won't be able to use the actual bet spreads.

I read somewhere that the CO casinos may try to get those ridiculous limits raised later this year.

I was in Cripple Creek several years ago, just passing through during a summer vacation. Cute little town in the middle of nowhere. The tables didn't open till 11 AM, so we didn't hang around.
