I have just found an excellent source for reading all about blackjack.
This website has an archive of articles written by Fred Renzey.
His writing is easy to follow for beginners and there are lots of tips and myths discussed.

There are lots of other authors as well at this site.

I am in no way affiliated with the above, but have found lots of good info there. Hopefully, this 'plug' does not violate any forum rules here.
If so, I apologize.

You'll get NO complaints from "Me" by posting that link Zman. Some interesting insights there. I particularly liked the disertation on the "rule of 45".....gimic to determine whether to hit on a multi-card 16 against a dealer's face. It's a concept that has enough substance to it that in such a close call anyway, anything that gives you the slightest edge (or makes you THINK you have something to base your decision on) is worthy <smile>.

I'm with you, Mikeaber. I usually hit 16 vs. 10, but I look for any excuse not to, whether it be the count or Rule of 45.

To look, and feel, weird, play 2 hands. Stand on one of your 16s because it has a 4 in it, and hit the other one because it doesn't. Makes people wonder about you. Makes you wonder about yourself!
