Deadwood SD

Just back from a short stay in Deadwood.
I was surprised to see CSM's at the Silverado Casino (all but two tables)
Most of the tree's were already in their fall colors and it was very pretty.
The table limits are all $100 max bet. (state law)
Many tables for the $2.00 betters.
Neat little town, with a lot of history.

Welcome Midnite!!! It's been a few years since I was in Deadwood. Rode my bike up to the Blackhills a few years ago, but the other guys I was riding with had no interest in gambling. CSMs huh? How were the rest of the table conditions? BTW...I'm heading to the Eagle on the 12th. Staying at Harah's though <LOL>

Table conditions

Mike- The table conditions (rules) were about the same as here.
No DAS in the pitch game, but you could in the 6 deck game.
It was Octoberfest there and the tables were crowded.
Free beer and Brats, with Polka music ???
I made a couple of late night runs and had some good play.
The wfe only bought one Black Hills gold ring and I won more than enough to pay for it, so it was a good trip, even if it was a short one. lol
The big hand was 3's split four times, with two of them doubled, on a $25 bet. Dealer busted....cool.

Dunno.......free beer is too expensive if I have to listen to polka music! But, it would be a way to get my bike riding friend into a casino. He's a native German and lives for Polka! Listens to it for hundreds of miles at a time on a CD while riding. I had to burn the darn CDs for him!

BTW, KAW Nation Casino in Newkirk Oklahoma is now putting back some of the table winnings from Blackjack into the patron's hands. They are doing it in the form of a Football Pool with a $1000 first prize each week. You get an entry each time you get a suited blackjack. I got 4 entries down there the last time I went for cigarettes. Made my picks the same as I would a Keno card...random...since I don't know squat about the current football teams <LOL>

For those of you who don't know, Oklahoma allows Blackjack in their Bingo oriented casinos but with a catch....they require an ante on each hand. The ante depends on the size of your bet, but at KAW, the minimums are $2 and maximums are $25 so the ante is a consistant $.25. You can do the math! It's horrible! The house keeps all of the ante as their profit on the table. Any table winnings are split 20% to the glorious State of Oklahoma and 80% is supposed to be returned to the players. Everyone though this would be in the form of tournaments but KAW sort of fooled everyone with the football pool.

Anyone have anything up to date on Deadwood? Anything that can't be found in CBJN. Any advice is appreciated.

Will be there in a couple of weeks.

Thanks.

Deadwood seems to be all low stakes and small joints.

Any word on any heat? How long will I last spreading table min to table max. Only be there a day or two and not going for gambling specifically so I am not concernered about 86ing ruining my vacay.

My contacts in Colorado tell me that they have yet to experience heat betting the full Min to Max. ($100)

There are more casinos than you think, but most have like two or three tables.

They are now open around the clock in many venues with inexperienced dealers making errors galore..

Scout around, some good games you will find, but a real fun place. It will be very busy though.

My family used to summer, and at times winter there, in its cool.. verdant and safe valleys, with much game and fire wood and cool clear water.

It was a very sacred land to my tribe and it was shared with most other tribes in the area. Keep that in mind when you visit.
