Default Recently Used Strategy Engine Card

I wanted to share the recent results from the use of the strategy engine cards. This was my first experience using a strategy card at the BJ table. I printed it off this website after entering the casino's table parameters. Let me tell you the results were amazing.

I typically bet at the $100 tables because they come with slightly more favorable odds. Add in the use of the correct engine card and I won approximately $2,000 - $3000 this past weekend in Las Vegas.

ONE QUESTION: The strategy engine card said that my total cards of 14 versus the dealer up card of 10 was a "surrender". The casino people repeatedly told me that was the wrong move. I simply said I was going with what the card told me. Obviously, the card proved correct. I was repeatedly one of the few consistent winners at the table when other players were present. Anyone have thoughts or feedback???

Take a look at your card and see what rules you entered. If it is suggesting surrendering 14vT, you must have chosen Early Surrender. You need a strategy with Late Surrender.

god, you're kidding right????

you do realize even with perfect strategy BJ is a -EV game? and that "just cause you won that one time" doesn't prove anything at all?

Learn something call "SAMPLE SIZE!"

Default strategy cards

If those strategy cards were that effective, they sure wouldn't be selling them in the casino hotel gift shop! I would also like to know what game you were playing, number of decks, etc. Basic strategy varies with specific game conditions.

It's very easy to win three grand if you're flat-betting $100 or more. Basic strategy or not.

It's also very easy to lose that much.

However, surrendering 14 vs 10 sounds pretty wrong, except for three cases:

1) EARLY surrender (in Vegas? TELL ME WHERE!)
2) Single deck game, and you get a pair of 7's vs the 10.
3) A high count.

Yes, good analysis. In the ES10 games they deal in Puerto Rico you would surrender a 14 vs. 10. The way I remember it is the strategy plays for surrender are all moved one row down.

It's not a super high count to surrender 14 vs. 10. It's one of the more useful index plays. If you surrender 14 v. 10 at or a little bit before the same point you'd take insurance at, you will be very close.

Wow $100/hand with a BS card - that's guts! What game was it anyway? Multideck?

Blackjack is a very forgiving game. Like Rhino said it, you'll go up 20 units or more in a couple thousand hands probably 30% of the time.

Clearly you were using the wrong card - was it telling u to surrender alot of hands against an Ace?

I saw a guy using the wrong card at a SP21 for hours - he was doing OK.

For once, it sounds like advice from the casino was actually good!

Next time you'll have the right card and get creamed

So how much would applying Early Surrender to a Late Surrender game cost anyway?
