Do any online games offer better odds than blackjack?

#1
Do any online casino games offer better odds than blackjack, say 50/50? I'm talking about games without the bonuses included. I like to use the progressive negative betting strategy, so the bigger the difference between min and max betting limits the better. Any suggestions are welcome.

It sounds like you're planning to use a negative progression like the Martingale, where you double up after every loss.

Yes, there are certainly better games than blackjack for that purpose, but it's a bad idea against any game with a house edge.

In blackjack, playing basic strategy yields roughly 44% wins, 48% losses, and 8% pushes. Several other games offer a better win/loss percentage, but in blackjack the doubles, splits and blackjack bonuses make up for the deficit.

Warning!

Arnold Snyder said in his book "Blackbelt in Blackjack"

"The Martingale: Progression to Depression"

Using any progressive betting systems is just that "Progression to Depression"
Specially when playing online, since games are lot faster than in land based casinos, and you also lose lot faster.

Thank you for your input BJStanko. However, I would like to determine that for myself with practice money. Would you care to help me with my question?

Thanks (I won't be stupid and bet real money, but i would like to know if there are better odds at any online casino game than blackjack, excluding doubling and splitting)

If you're willing to win less than even money, how about banker on baccarat?
If we ignore ties, banker wins 50.7% of the time. However, there is a 5% commission on winning bets. If you must have even money, bet player at baccarat. Ignoring ties, that wins 49.3% of the time.

Both the pass line bet and the don't pass bet at craps round to the same win percentage of 49.3%. I'd say since baccarat produces a decision much quicker, the player bet at baccarat would be a better choice.

Note that I'm being somewhat cavalier with the word 'better' in that sentence. You would probably be better off choosing the slowest possible game, to delay the inevitable ruin that will surely find you down the road of Martingale. Then again, if we were talking life and death, I'd rather die quickly than suffer a slow and painful death, so maybe baccarat really is 'better' for your purpose.

Have fun testing your idea with practice money, and I'll leave you with one last piece of advice. If after a while, your practice has persuaded you to risk real money, then do yourself a favor... Keep at your practice until it changes your mind. If it takes you the rest of your days, so be it. :)

Haha you're awesome Ken thx. I needed to know for myself, so I made a simulator that uses martingale on roulette. I simulate 10 games where each game ends if I win $200 or lose my $300 max bet. To get a positive bank balance I had to win either 10-0, 9-1, or 8-2. And that happened less than 50% of the time.
