Question How much is too much?

Hello everyone, I started playing blackjack about a year ago and have become a pretty good basic strategy player. I've never been a serious gambler, but for the first time in my life I am now considering playing blackjack more seriously (i.e., supplement my income). My question is: How much winning would get unwanted attention from the casino? Would turning an original $10K bankroll into, say, $30 or $40K get you "blacklisted"? Or how about an original $50K into $150K or $200K?
I've been able to consistently triple my bankroll by using basic strategy and by switching tables when I begin to lose too many hands.
Any advice on "winning discreetly" is welcomed. Thanks in advance!

The answer to your question really depends on your bet size. A casino is probably not going to be concerned if a $500 a hand player wins $10K or $20K, but if a $50 a hand player does that, it would attract attention.

A lifetime win of $100K or $150K as in your second example will get scrutiny pretty much regardless.

More importantly though, if you're playing basic strategy and relying on switching tables to end a losing streak, you haven't found an easy way to riches. Instead, you've been lucky. Congrats, but don't assume that you can beat the game long-term. Streaks of both kinds are only detectable afterwards. You can't make money trying to guess whether the next few hands will be winners or losers.

Hmm...thanks for the insight, Ken. Makes me think more about learning to count cards...
