Any Tunica Players?

I am trying to find some other players that play in the casinos in Tunica. I usually go down solo during the middle of the week and play at the Grand, Sheraton or Horseshoe. Are there any better rules in Tunica on DD than they have at the Grand (DAS,DOA,Hit Soft17, no surrender). I think that the rules are good. Better than in Chicago, Maddison or Milwaukee. If anybody has any info or would like to meet up and play let me know.

In the past I only went to Tunica a couple of times a year due to it being twice the drive time as the MS Gulf Coast. Now that Katrina has leveled the coast, I will be in Tunica more often. In fact, I just booked a trip to the Horseshoe for next month. Even though I was a loyal Grand patron in Biloxi and Gulfport, I usually wound up in the either the Horsehoe or Gold Strike in Tunica. I liked having 3 (counting the Sheraton) competing casinos within walking distance and both the HS and GS have great rooms & ameneties.

Their gambling, especially their table games, is usually about as good as a player can hope for rule-wise. Due to the competitive climate, I don't think any of the properties have glaring differences in their rules. Since I haven't been since June, I can't speak to specifics right now. Generally though, most of the properties have better rules than you will encounter on the strip in LV.

I go to Tunica regularly, every weekend and sometimes during the week. I primariily go to the Horseshoe since I like to play single deck, and they have 7 tables for single deck. Sams Town has only one and the Grand usually has 3. They are the only casinos left in Tunica that still pay 3-2 blackjack in single deck. All the others have gone to 6-5. The Horseshoe also has the best penetration on double deck. They cut out 25% of the cards while all the others cut out a full deck. They all have basically the same rules except at Sams town you cannot resplit aces. If you want to meet up leave me a message. I live close and can go just about any time

Are the single deck games at Horseshoe 3 to 2 or are they 6 to 5. And it has been a while, what are the table limits? I was at the Sheraton and did not make it over to the Horseshoe the last time I was in town. The Sheraton has only two tables in the high limit room, usually only one open, but they also let you resplit aces up to three times. I have never had that before and it shocked me the first time it happen and the dealer asked me if I wanted to split them again. I think the Sheraton might have the best double deck rules that I have seen and the pen is not that bad (60 -70%). If you get a chance to play let me know if it has changed. Thanks. The Horseshoe definitely still pays 3 to 2 on single deck blackjack. They will be the last to change. If Jack still owned them they would never change, but Harrah's owns them now, so who knows. The high limit room usually has 2 single deck, 1 6 deck shoe, and 4 double deck games. Limits are 50 to 5000. There are 5 single deck tables on the main floor. Their limits are usually 25 to 5000. Weekdays and mornings you can usually play them from 5 to 5000. The main floor contains many double deck and 6 deck shoe games. Most shoe games even on weekends are $5 minimum. The double deck games on the floor range from $5 minimum to $100 minimum (most are $25 minimum on weekends). All tables have 5000 maximum, but if you are a real high roller, they will raise it. All games hit S17 and do not offer surrender. Double deck and shoe games double any two cards, split up to 4 hands including Aces, and double after split. Single deck same rules except no double after split.

Have you been down to Tunica lately? Just tryig to find out if it is getting more crowded now with the Holiday's coming up or if it starts to get quiet. I am planning a trip down within the next two weeks for a day. Conditions(rules) still the same? I have been looking on a lot of other sites and I do not believe that there are any better rules to be found. I let you know when I plan to come down. It is usually a last minute decision.

Horseshoe was packed Saturday night.(Of course Wayne Newton was playing to a full house which attracted many.) With the coast casinos all closed since the hurricane, it seems the weekends are always crowded on the main floor. The high stakes room has also been busy on the weekends, and most tables are at least 100 minimum. However during the week, it is not crowded at all. I went Wednesday night and played by myself most of the time in the high limit room. During the three hours I was there, there was never more than 5 people at the 3 tables they had open. I seldom go to the other casinos, so I can't say if they are any better. Rules have stayed the same at all the casinos. If you play single deck, only go to the Horseshoe, Grand, or Sam's Town, because all the others have gone to 6 to 5. Can't understand why people will play that, but they do.
