Several Strip locations showed up on a recent Las Vegas restaurant inspection report. I was surprised to see so many famous names.

Bon appetit!

Cleopatra's Barge, Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 15 demerits April 3. Violations included glasses stored as clean contained lipstick and other debris. GRADE: B

Fleur de Lys restaurant, Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 12 demerits April 3. Violations included several food handlers prepping food without hats or hair restraints. GRADE: B

Galleria Bar, Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 11 demerits April 3. Violations included dirty floors under equipment and ice machine. GRADE: B

Grand Cafe, Palace Station, 2411 W. Sahara Ave., received 39 demerits April 2. Violations included steam table not hot enough to maintain food at proper temperature. GRADE: C

Mandalay Bay banquet garde manger, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 18 demerits April 3. Violations included fruit flies around uncovered nuts in dry storage. GRADE: B

Mesa Grill hot line, Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 23 demerits April 6. Violations included food handler working with uncovered burns on forearm. GRADE: C
..

Forum Cafe, Forum Shops at Caesars, 3500 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 21 demerits April 5 and was downgraded to a C because of repeat violations.

I must admit I have never eaten there. Now knowing about repeat violations, I don't think I ever will. I don't recall ever seeing a "C" grade on a food outlet in Clark County. I hope the people in charge of this place have been fired. I wonder if the health department revokes the food handler's permit of an individual responsible for a place that has repeat violations?

Wynn Las Vegas banquet beverage service, 3145 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 15 demerits April 4. Violations included several containers of half-and-half stored beyond expiration dates. GRADE: B

Expired product? This is a stupid violation. Hard to believe this was unintentional. Ugh!
