Default Please - I need some credible advice :-)

Okay, I am a full time college student and enjoy making a little money here and there by cardcounting when I can. I'm pretty sure I know how I feel about these games, but I want some 'second' opinions...

In my area, I have three blackjack games that I'm willing to play. I would like for you guys to rank them and add any commnets you may have.

The first one is a double deck game with a little over half penetration (60%)
Double on 9-11 only, DAS, dealer hits soft 17. About a -.52 advantage off the top.

The second is a double deck game with a rare 75% penetration, but offset with horrible rules. Double 10,11 only, NO DAS, and dealer hits soft 17. About a -.7 advantage off the top. Normally, I'd call this game trash, but it does deal deep, I can get away with a 1-10 spread, AND there is 'mid-deck' entry. (Though, a bit unpractical - I'm sure the floor would get a little suspicious if I were hopping in and out like a mad man...)

The third is a 6 deck game, 70% penetration, DAS, double on any two, late surrender available, and dealer hits soft 17. Midshoe entry allowed. A pretty damn good shoe game by many standards...(table min is $3 too)

I just want to say that i highly prefer handheld games, because waiting for a positive count in a shoe game makes me want to cry sometimes...

Thanks in advance for your input!

You can get close to these games at http://www.card-counting.com/cvcxonlineviewer.htm. But, I only have a sim there for D9, not D10.

Is the DD game dealt face up? It makes a pretty big difference, although I'm yet to see it broken down in any statistical table.Dealt face-up,you will have numerous chances to interact with other players hands, which can add to your bottom line.

The penetration is much more important than the rules. Even with bad rules the 75% DD game with a 1-10 spread is a good game.

I don't know exact numbers, but I'd assume the DD game with 75% is the best out of those 3. That's the one I would be playing.

Short answer: Wong them all!

Although, as Scott mentioned, the 75% DD game is the best for play-all style. That could be your “home base” until the count tanks, then you could backcount the rest of the games. The 6D game will probably show more positive counts than the 60% DD, and the late surrender will really save your a$$ on some of those big bets. But don’t be afraid to scan the table as you walk by the DD games either. The more tables you can count, the more money you will make.
