Researchers hone mind-reading robot

The idea of tapping brain waves to move a robot sounds like science fiction.
Yet researchers at the University of Washington are doing just that. Wearing a swim cap-like head piece wired with 32 electrodes, engineering students use a technique based upon electroencephalography - more commonly referenced as EEG - to maneuver a 2-foot-tall robot named Mo.
