Variance varies depending on your betting ramp, the game you're playing and the penetration. Amongst other things.

Obviously, since your per-hand ev in units and per-hand sd in units varies depending on the above.

So one system may have a higher variance than another at 6 decks but a lower one at 2 decks. Assuming you could ever compare apples to apples which is tough.
