Immigration rally turnout lower than '06

This quote is pulled from the link I provided. He says he has lived here for 15 years, but the gov't needs to give them a chance. How much more time does he need?? He has had 15 YEARS to do something. That's what really gets me. I'm all for immigration - but do it legally. If there were 12 MILLION illegal immigrants last year at this time and there are still that many today - if I do my math right that means not 1 person made the effort to become documented?? Give me a break. If as they say "we are here to work we are doing nothing wrong" then why not become documented? What's stopping them? Can someone tell me?

Do you think if I didn't have a drivers license I could claim to be an "undocumented driver" if I got stopped by the police? No. They would laugh at me and give me a ticket.

National rally coordinators are protesting the action and have sent us a statement via email asking citizens to call on LAPD Chief William Bratton and LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to demand an independent investigation into the "May Day incident at McArthur Park."

It's too bad that people can't rally in peace - no matter what they are protesting or rallying for they should be able to do it without repercussions. I heard this now the radio this morning, but after seeing the video it looks like the LAPD overreacted to a few a-holes that were starting s**t. They shouldn't be firing tear gas and rubber bullets where there are women and children - I highly doubt they were a threat.

Roberto is a genius, first he is claiming to not be a criminal but is here illegally.

Try driving a car in mexico, then get into a car accident. See what the police down there would do to you. It is a crime to get into a car accident.

You mean the wetbacks? They are descended from immigrants just like me.

I think it's good that the LAPD clubbed them. It's a hell of a lot better than the way Americans get treated by Mexican law enforcment.

No, why don't you ask the Indians?
Not that this matters at all.
If they want this land, they can fight us for it.
