Question about bracelets

Just what does it mean when a player receives a bracelet? Does he /she get it for making it to the final table, for being the champion,both? Thanks.

At the World Series Of Poker there are several events, and every event winner receives a bracelet.

At World Poker Tour do you get a bracelet if you make it to the final table or only if you're the winner at the final table? Thanks.
