Default Double Attack

Friends returning from AC Taj Mahal told me about a game called Double Attack. It features six decks with the Tens (10s) removed. After the dealer deals his first card face up you can double your bet. There is also a place to bet that the dealer busts, with odds ranging up to 15 to 1 if the dealer busts with a 6. If the dealer dowsn't bust, you lose your bet. Also, you can double down with any hand. But you can only split aces once.

Apparently the idea is that the count begins 24 down, making it almost impossible for a favorable count before reaching the last card, which my friends say is about the deck-and-a-half mark.

Is anyone familiar with this blackjack variation? Is there a way to beat this game through a modified counting system?

Here's a link that covers the modified basic strategy for Double Attack:
