Gambling online

I've always been a little skeptical of doing casino gambling online...is it worth the time? Also, what are the best reputable sites to playing some BJ at? Thank you!

It depends where you live and your goals.

If you are just playing BJ for fun (not for profit), some of the better ones are iNetBet (Real Time Gaming, US allowed), 32 Red (Microgaming, No US), Intercasino (Cryptologic, No US), and Totesport (Playtech, No US). Boss Media software is also worth mentioning. The software is poor compared to the others I listed, but their single deck BJ has a small player edge with optimal strategy.

If you are playing for profit, I'd recommend playing with sign-up bonuses that allow blackjack. For a list, click on the best bonus link on my signature, then click on the "Game" column to sort by game. Counting cards onlne is generally not useful. Cards are usually either shuffled with each hand, or shuffled at an unknown point within the play. However, Playtech and a few others do offer live dealers via webcam.

So I went to the best sites list and I did the first blackjack one. I was referred to goldencasino.com...100% up to 555. Is this a good site? It had a note I would be redirected but I didn't know if this was good or bad? Also, is it better to deposit the full bonus amount or just go with whatever? I don't really want to do 555.

I'm guessing you are from the United States? Golden Palace does not allow US Players. They redirect US traffic to Golden Casino -- a different casino with a very different bonus. Golden Casino is fine for non-US, but they have had issues paying US players. There is a US-allowed best bonus and review of Golden Casino elsewhere on the site.

So as a USA player, what casino would be my best bet?
Assuming you are from one of the 39 states allowed at most Microgamings, some of the better bonuses are:

Lucky Nugget & Riverbelle -- 400% Clearplay up to $200

Yukon Gold -- Refund 100% of loss up to $50

Casino Classic and Blackjack Ballroom -- Freeplay with maximum bonus of 1000% up to $200.

Player's Only -- Cashable bonus up to $220 with 20xB wagering on blackjack... can be claimed each week

For play without bonuses, I'd recommend iNetBet. Several USA players have reported good experiences there recently, including fast cashouts.
