Default Is there more heat in AC lately or is it me?

Just got back from AC. Yesterday, for the second time in a month, I got shuffled mid-shoe (2 different houses.) This was only the third time I've played at this place. I was only there for about an hour, and being fairly conservative (in my opinion.)

Something's odd. Are you playing in high-limit pits?

Backcounting is a good remedy for this kind of treatment.

Yesterday's shuffle was in a high limit pit, though limit wasn't very high ($50.) First one wasn't. And I thought my camo was decent - refrring to BS card on splits and soft hands from time to time, bottle of beer in front of me, chatting with other players about the flow, etc.

Craps - Have you played in AC lately, or was that one of your characteristic, devoid of useful information posts?

Sounds like you might be camping too much. You are Wonging out of all bad (less than -1 in level 1 or -2 in level 2) counts, right? And going to another table/pit/casino? If you do that, you'll never be in anyone's sight long enough for them to form any kind of opinion of your play.

Was at this place only about an hour. I've been doing a combination of wonging out and backcounting.

If you really have to have to have to know:

1) Buy a wig
2) Go to an independent casino (one that doesn't share info with other casinos)
3) Be less than subtle about your counting: Backcount while staring only at the cards. Wong aggressively and often. Don't ramp your bets, just spread like a peanut butter on crack sandwich. Basically: do everything in your power to not employ a single drop of cover, especially if the pit is watching.

If you get tapped, then there's heat. If not, there isn't. (At least not at that place). Try it a few more times at a few more casinos. Try it at the same place on different shifts. Note the names of the crew who don't make you.

Then-- well, then go back to those same places and keep playing with aggressive wongs and no cover. =)
