So I'm looking at a 3 card soft 18 and the dealers got a 10 up. I take the hit and get a 3-the dealer turns over a 10 and says "you needed every bit of that" Love those moments don't you?

Its what makes those months of studying the game all seem worthwhile.

Yup, gotta love it.

Yesterday I had a soft 18 against a 10, hit and got a 3 for 21. Dealer ended up with 20 and as she paid me, she said to the pit boss, "He went for the win, and got it"

I signal for a hit on my soft 18...

Dealer: "Most people don't do that..."

She gives me the 3.

Dealer: "...and when they do, they don't get that!"

Perhaps its just me,but those pesky 4s seem to turn up much more frequently than the elusive 3.

What I also enjoy is hitting a hard 16 when BS calls for it and receive a 4 or 5.
