Default Sheep hunting Wolves!!!

So this week i was back in Tunica putting in an intensive mission to make some bank because i wont be able to travel for the next 9 or so days.

I am at this one store where i have made pretty good bank the last few times i visited there and had not logged a single loss while playing there.

About 40 minutes into my play, i catch this woman dressed in a grey pant suit behind me watching my plays. She was not hiding or anything. Matter of fact she was rooting for me. If i had like a double down i could hear her say, "go on and give him a face" to the dealer.

I didnt think anything of it at the moment. About 30 minutes later a guy joined our table and was sitting at the spot to my left. The woman sat down at the seat to his left and she was chatting with every one at the table but was not playing.

I didnt notice but she got up and left at one point. Then she came back some time later and sat on the chair to my right. (I was first base but i was playing it sitting in the chair normally reserved for second place.)

I am bleeding serious money around this point (mostly due to cover plays that went really bad.) And she asked me if i learnt how to play Bj on a computer because i was a good player. A simple enough question right...

I am still bleeding money at this point and she asks me where i live. And i tell her the place. (about 3 hours away from Tunica)..

I continue bleeding money and now i am playing in one of the worst negative counts i have seen. I think the count was like -13. Then she asks me if i drove to tunica and i replied affirmatively. Her next question while seeming a simple one, should have set off alarm bells right away and sent me packing from that casino while i had only lost the profits i had made earlier in the day.
She asked me if i actually drove from my home to tunica every day to come to the casino!!!

Yes i know, the question is a simple one. But its very telling. It didnt hit me until i got up to go to the bathroom as my excuse to get out of that ugly ass negative count. While i am taking a piss, my thoughts wondered back to the annoying woman who was asking me questions endlessly and making it hard as hell to keep the count!!!

Then it hit me...."That bitch works for casino security"

Of course, every one here is going to say, i am being paranoid and that she was some hooker looking for a john. Well that might have been true until you examine the line of questioning she had peppered me with in between mindless chit chat about drunk betting sprees in vegas.

First and foremost, she was dressed to well to be a hooker. I dont know too many hookers who wair pant suits to go out whoring!
Secondly she was not carrying any purse, bag, or even something to keep her wallet or cell phone or lipstick. She was well kept (not that beautiful) but you could see she tried to take care of her looks.
Its inconcievable that a she could be a hooker out looking for a john without carrying her make up, cell phone, lipstick, condoms etc etc.
Just the idea that she didnt have a bag or keys or anything, meant that she must have left her bag some where in the casino.

Also the pant suit she was wearing was a dark grey. It was heavy and long sleeved covering pretty much most of her body. Something a hooker would not be ready to do unless she was interested in hooking middle aged vacationers..(I dont look anything near that) And most importantly it was a hot ass day outside. The only people in the casino wearing such heavy clothing this late in summer are casino employees who have to contend with the absurdly cold air conditioners in the casinos. And of course gamblers like myself. (I would not have noticed this issue if i myself didnt wear long sleeves to my gambling sessions. Its always hot as hell when walking to my car and half the time i have to take my shirt off and drive around in my tshirt that i wear underneath). This woman was dressed specifically to work in a well air conditioned place..ie the casino and not a hooker.

Now lets go back to her questions. Remember folks, i have been bleeding money and this so called hooker, says that i play quite well and asks if i learnt how to play on a computer...People, this is not a question i have ever been asked by anyone. Most people simply assume you are a dealer some where or a self taught gambler or something. But NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE will see you bleeding money like i was and then tell you that you are a good player and even go as far as asking if you learned to play on a computer.

For the record, outside of my cover plays, i was keeping the count well but i just wasnt getting the cards. I was playing well indeed but i was losing. The only person who will notice that you are good player even when you are bleeding money, is either some one who has history on you, or knows you are a counter who is simply not getting any breaks. You will never find a regular hooker jane commending your play when you have lost over 700. And the fact that she would leap to the computer angle is a dead give away that she knows your play is a little bit too good for the average player.

Lets move on to the question about if i drive 3 hours to tunica every day. If you think about it, this question is incredibly stupid coming from a person who supposedly only met you that day. Who in their right mind would assume that because some one said they drove to a casino destination that they drive back and forth every day? That makes no logical sense. Think about it. If you were from Cali and playing in vegas, if a some one asked you if you drove down and you said "yes" there is no way in hell that person would assume you make that drive every day. Every normal person would simply assume that you drove down just for a few days. NO normal person would assume you drive down every day. And that very question implies that this woman had seen me at that casino last week or had information that i was at the casino for some nights. Hence the silly question about me driving down to tunica every day. Now if she were a simple hooker who has seen me at the casino before, there is no way in hell she would be wasting her time with me.
Hookers dont waste time with "gamblers". I know because i see the regulars at the casinos i play regularly at and they dont waste time with me because they know i am there for money not to spend it. And this is a "hooker" who has already show cased an understanding of the game and would know better than any one else that card counters dont waste time on hookers while at the table.

This woman was working for casino security. They had pegged me for being a counter and they sent some one to mine information from me.
I never turned in my card so i guess they didnt know who i was.

I am curious have any of you guys run into situations like this before?
If a casino suspects you are counting but does not have any info on you what do they normally do?

Ps..Unfortunately for me, this day endede badly, lost 100% of my days profit and 50% of my days BR and left with my tail between my legs from that casino. But i lived to fight another day and i had some success at other shops
which i probably wont be able to play at again. (not caught but i am probably under great suspicion due to a blunder i made playing at two neighboring spots without knowing that they were both owned by Harrahs)

I think you're just being crazy. If they pegged you as a counter they would send you packing. They don't care who you are, and they don't care where you live, they would just make you leave. If they already know you're card counting, why would they need any info about you before kicking you out?

Why do I suspect this story will get even better the more we learn?

1) How many days in a row had you played at that shop?
2) Were you staying there?
3) Had you actually been commuting each day?
4) What did her name tag say?
5) Were you overbetting again?
6) Did you thrown down on any cover plays while you were talking to her?

She definitely sounds like a casino employee. Not security, per se, but possibly in management. However, the thing I don't get is the lack of a name tag. I don't know what Mississippi gaming regs are like, but I expect almost all on-duty employees to be kickin' around with name tags. Maybe she was from another store.

Absolute best-case scenario is that she's a host, or another marketing-type position. That seems doubtful.

You should have chatted her up and figured out what her story is. I never thought the letters were true, either.

Who was the sheep and who was the wolf, anyway?

That wouldnt make much sense. I could come back 3 months later and they would still have no clue who i was.

I believe its not enough to simply send me packing. They wanna find out who i am so that they can make a quick decision next time i am in their casino..

(kinda like that shop that flat bet me..) See there is really no point in kicking some one out if all he does is lay low for a while then come back and hit you later on.

I think i played there on wednesday and friday last week then again on tuesday and wednesday this week.

No..I do not commute each day. Thats ridiculous.. That would be 6 hours i spend on the road daily driving back and forth from the casinos.

She was not wearing a name tag. If she was, then i would not be speculating on her position at the casino...(ps..she did not play a single hand of BJ, she just either stood around talking or sat and chatted)

I have never over bet..(whatever the definition of that may be.) I played the exact same way i played all the other days.

And yes, i threw down bunch of cover plays while she was sitting next to me and they back fired badly. I lost money.
And the cow still said i was a good player!!!

Call her security or management, she was definately working for the casino.

They don't need your name, only your face. Let's say they get your name and you come back 3 months later. You still wouldn't be playing with a player's card since you havn't been now. So what good would your name do? They will have to only recognize you by face.

So since they know you don't use a player's card, getting your personal information becomes pointless doesn't it?

Obviously,in an attempt to ascertain our boys name and true identity, the casino Mata Hari will be forced to go to his room ,and rifle his wallet while BGJ sleeps in post-sexual bliss.

So that the next time i walk into a casino they have a name to match with the face. Wouldnt you agree that this would be valuable information to them.
I hadnt lost a penny to this place since i started playing there. And that was the first time i lost to them. May be they want to know if i am part of some team or something. Gathering that little info wouldnt hurt them.

Now may be i am wrong about this person, but the facts around the whole situation strongly point to some one who was working me for some info.

It simply doesnt make any sense that this was just some simple "gal" out chatting with bettors and asking the most illogical questions that only make sense if she were privy to some alternate info that made the question seem logical..(ie the computer question and the commuting question)
