Mexicans discover tunnel in Tijuana
MEXICO CITY (AP) - Police in Tijuana, Mexico, have discovered a narrow tunnel under the border into the US.
Officials say it was used to smuggle drugs and possibly undocumented migrants.
More than 50 tunnels have been discovered under the US-Mexico border. Increased border surveillance following 9-11 is thought to have prompted drug smugglers to go underground to avoid detection.
The latest discovery was made inside an area guarded by Mexican Treasury Department officials. Officials are investigating how the 32-foot long tunnel was able to operate so close to where federal officials were on duty.
Authorities found shovels, lanterns, batteries and other tools, but no drugs.
US officials have been filling at least six tunnels along the 2,000-mile border, at a cost of $2.7 million.

There's one thing that bothers me most about this article, its that the mexicans found it, and supposedly blew the whistle.
that sounds like hogwash.
i am thinking mex. officials missed their regular bribes, and got pissed.

You know the do-gooders are always complaining about the illegal aliens not having enough water when they cross our border.
So we should wait until the tunnel is being used, then pump water into it. I mean, that's the humanitarian thing to do, right?

Hey that would make a good Candid Camera- type reality show theme. We could put some cameras down there and other fun things. Maybe crap, or a wild animal or something.
Or how about this- we could alter the tunnel so it leads someplace they don't expect. Like back to the Mexican side, but in an area set up to make them think they're in America, see how long it takes them to figure it out. Or we could build a prison camp on the American side and make the tunnel lead to there, so they deliver themselves right to where they belong. Cucarachas check in, but they don't check out!

Thats a good one! But then the ACLU and the tree-hugger crowd would be crying in their soup saying that is the wrong thing to do, this and that, kumbayah, yadda yadda yadda. Maybe the ACLU should be deported too and live with those cucarachas como dondes aquis ud.
Sorry for the jibberish, but those are the only jibberish words I know. I don't cut any slack for retards painting green white and red on public stairways, public schools in the US as you have seen in the news. If they love their colors so much, they should go back to their sewer. If they want their land back, then they have to fight us again for it. Everything is settled with fists. The last man standing wins. Its a fact of life.

I agree. What fools Hamas are. Fatah appears to have chosen peace. They have the West Bank, surrounded by friendly neighbors, billions in foreign aid and access to the Israeli economy.
Hamas chose about 50 square miles of land. It has a long coastline, but they have no navy. They have one airport, and no air force. One of their neighbors is Israel which they have sworn to destroy and who now keeps them behind a large wall. Their other neighbor is Egypt, who also puts up a wall to keep them out of their nearly desolate Sinai Peninsula. Most of their food, water and electricity comes from their enemy Israel, who can not only shut all of these things off any time they want, they can also saturate any part of the Gaza Strip any time they want with artillery.
Sucks to be Hamas. They have all the hope of a death row inmate who gratuitously provokes the warden. Maybe they are hoping Allah will save them. But there is no Allah and there is nothing to save them from the grave they have dug for themselves. What is going to happen now, let it be a lesson to all of the Middle East.
