Default Methods of Play or Systems

Where to start ?
We have talked about Dahl, Oscar and the Martingale, but what about :
The Parlay, the Paroli, the Labouchere, and the D'Alembert ? (just to name a few)

The Parlay - As you only increase your bet on a win, it is fairly safe.
Needed to play SB & CB

The Paroli - Much the same and sometimes called the Reverse Martingale.
Needed to play SB & CB

The Labouchere - Also know as the Cancellation System. As you need to write down a series of numbers, it is not good for BJ. Most casinos don't like you writing things down, while playing BJ. Needed to play BB & BB

The D'Alembert - You increase your bets one unit on a loss and decrease your bets one unit on a win. Needed to play BB & BB.

What is BB & BB ?
It is a Big Bankroll and Brass Balls

What is SB & CB ?
Small Bankroll and Cotton Balls

How about the method preferred by a good friend of mine. I'll call it the Al for reasons I'll leave up to your imagination.
Find a casino that allows mid-shoe entry, watch until the dealer has won 5 hands in a row, then jump in with 1/4 of your bankroll. If that hand loses, double up on the next. A win and its time to repeat the scenerio at another table. A loss and its off to the bar to ponder what you did wrong to suffer such bad karma.
Surprisingly,it seems to work fairly well,as he only wants to double his bankroll. Not quite sure how to
formulate it however.

5 in a row against one person? How do you decide who this person should be, maybe they just suck. And does he kick them out of their seat so he can get the same position? Also, losing 5 times in a row if you know what you're doing isn't overly common.... I imagine sometimes he could be sitting around looking for that to happen for quite a while.

Hey Midnite,
I'm up at AmeriStar as I type. Glad you are NOT here Talk about something in the wind! I never could get anything going except loss last night. Seemed like no one was winning on any of the tables. I was going to piddle around with Dahl at the $5 tables and there were only a couple of times I even made it to the $10 bets. Played on 4 (4 $25 shots playing with just a $100 BR) different tables and the results were the same. Seemed like dealer wins 3 from me and I'd win one and then get a double or split to get back in the game. It's hard to use any strategy other than "walk away" in situations like that. I spent a lot of time walking around! I think I had one Greenie when I took it to bed. I'll give it another shot this morning.

The only bright side of the night was watching this couple sitting at a $5 table with me. They were blissfully happy and were the only two at the table that were winning. The lady was pulling out all stops....betting green and black a couple of times. Seemed like she was winning every time she'd bet big.....and I know she wasn't counting! They are to be married today. Guess that was the casino's wedding present to them!
