I leave for vegas in 3 weeks, and my girlfriend has made it clear that she doesn't want to spend 3/4 of our trip downtown. Therefore, can everyone please post where the 6 deck shoes or DD games are (that you know of) located on the strip

thanks

btw...I'm looking mostly for red tables

Best Games On The Strip, Etc.

What is this psychological issue that women seem to have with Fremont Street?! My girlfriend is the same way! No matter how many times I try to explain that the games are better downtown (and that we could win more money,), she is much more concerned with sleeping lions, chefs named Emeril & Wolfgang, dancing fountains, and a faux Eiffel Tower. Sigh -- women are from Venus, men are just idiots, I guess ..

Anyway, TonyDee, you will find some decent BJ games at the Imperial Palace on the Strip. (I look mainly for the single and double deck games, but they have decent shoe games, as well.) I would also suggest walking next door to Harrah's.

A little further down the Strip, try the Tropicana or the Excalibur. I found nothing tempting at New York-New York or Monte Carlo. You'll also find plenty of $5 games at the Boardwalk or Barbary Coast.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

I'm not sure you'll find a $5 table at Harrahs, they are pretty hit and miss, unless you play that nonsensical triple play game they have-War,BJ and stud poker all in one game.
Imperial Palace has now become my place to play on the strip.Further north I find Circus Circus,Slots of Fun and the Strat have good games, and the sahara still has $3 tables, but I'mnot sure how many decks they use.
Do you prefer six decks to double deck? If so,care to share why?

If you are going to be in Vegas more than a few days, may I suggest you take one of the free daytrips down to Laughlin. Most at Hoover Dam,the trip is scenic and Laughlin has great BJ,and quite a few other things to do in an afternoon. Shopping, walking the riverwalk,a nice hourlong scenic cruise on the river, ect, ect.
Nice mal right across the street from the casinos if anyone wants to do some shopping, too.

NYbear...we're flying to Vegas on the 11th of Jan for a few days. The first full day we're there, we're taking a day-trip to Laughlin. Heard a lot about it and am anxious to give it a spin. If it pans out for us, the next Nevada trip we take will probably be Laughlin.

I respectfully disagree. During off-hours, I never had a problem finding a $5 table at Harrahs, including BJ tables right at the "front" doors, the ones right off the strip. And their staff was always VERY friendly so when I was losing it was more enjoyable. In fact, I lost $200 at Harrahs but had such a good time I went back later. That time, I walked away with a yellow chip.

Go during off hours, and you'll have a better chance. When it gets busy or peak, they do bump the $5 to $10.

If you check out any of the many magazines that lists things to do in vegas, they all offer free bus day-trips
to Laughlin. It includes a funbook that has a few matchplay, free lunchs, ect.

As far as Harrahs having $5 tables, lets just say I have not seen them in over a year. I've stayed there in Feb,in August and then this Halloween. This last trip, when I asked about $5 tables,I was told that the Imperial Palace next door(now a Harrahs property) had plenty.
They may well offer $5 tables at certain slow times, but as I said,I haven't seen them over the last three trips. Thats why I said they are hit and miss.
BTw-The BJ dealers at Harrahs are a good bunch. They do try to make your gambling fun.

Can someone please tell me of any DD games that are offered on the strip that they know of?

I meant to post this earlier since I'm leaving on Wed for Vegas but I totally forgot, so any help on this matter would be appreciated

While I am sure there are many others, two that I can recomend are at Imperial Palace and Slots of Fun( an annex of Circus Circus).
THe DD at Wynn is highly spoken of but has a $25 mimimum according to sites.
btw-how long will you be in town? I arrive Monday(the 12th).

You are the second person that said that about IP.
Evidently, they are making serious changes now that Harrahs bought it.Truly sucks. But they did mail me four matchplay coupons,so I guess I'll stop in anyway.
