Default Vegas Impressions

Here lies Bugsy: buried at the bottom of the Mickey Mouse Club . I hadn't been to Las Vegas in 15 years, and it was a bit of shock to endure the complete Disneyland experience. Blackjack-wise, I almost felt guilty for counting at the smaller (seedier) casinos, though I did tip the dealers. Way too many 6:5 games and high minimums on the Strip. Slots-A-Fun might have been fun were it not filled with Circus Circus drunks -- there's no established cut on SD and you could perhaps persuade the dealer to run most of the deck. But you can't spread to two hands or enter mid-deck. El Cortez shoe dealt 1.5 out of 2.

For the occasional visitor-counter, I think it makes more sense to go with a huge bankroll and Wong it.

El Cortez shoe dealt 1.5 out of 2.

I get the impression that this is somehow a bad thing?

A good thing. Sorry that wasn't clear. The other off-strip casinos I visited were about 1 out of 2.
