Default Alas, a coward to the end!

I thought about planting the story below in the Zen Zone, but decided that it might not get the comic reaction I would be hoping for. zg is a lot of fun, but I don't personally know the man, and so I decided it might cause more harm than comic relief. But as a conversation piece, I guess it is all right. I know some of you may think I am an idiot for even thinking up such a thing as this, and you may well be right, but it is all meant in fun, and a little oneupsmanship on ziggy as I like to call him. Anyway, it does bring up the subject of message board protocol and etiquette. I always looked at the Zen Zone as half serious, half tongue-in-cheek. Bur actually, for some it may be 100% serious and for those I could certainly be offensive. My questions is, "How guarded do we need to be on the forum, so as not to personally offend some of its members? I know from the recent RJT/AM disagreement that it is certainly easy to ruffle a few feathers, purposely or inadvertently, although I am inclined to believe that ziggy (zg) is beyond ruffling. What is your take on this subject, or is it too stupid to pursue?"

Sources have it that none other than our celebrated zg was implicated in a plot to bring down the Empire State building, the Sears tower, the Washington monument, the St. Louis archway, the coit tower, the remnants of the Alamo, Durgin Park, Disney World Epcot Center, Boulder Dam, the Astrodome, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, the Chicken Ranch bordelo (he vehemently denies this), several McDonald restaurants, Three Tippy Tacos, a Chevrolet car dealership in New Jersey, two hair cutteries, a San Francisco bathhouse, Sea World, Uncle Freddie's Snake Emporium, the UN building, Mama Leone's Italian Restaurant, The Queen Mary, the Ames Iowa civic center, The price is right TV show, and a list of other treasured American hallmarks, along with several other accomplices and to place the blame squarely on the Bush administration. There were also plans underway to drain the contents of the five great lakes. It is not clear at this time where the water would be sent. An intercepted cell phone call by zg heard him (allegedly) saying he was exasperated at how long it was taking Cheney to get a terrorist attack organized against the US; Cheney, he said, was utterly incompetent. A spokesman stated that we have no way of verifying the truth of these allegations, but quoted another suspect as saying it certainly does stand to reason that the game must go on, and we cannot allow Bush administration ineptitude to slow down the march to final destruction. We only have until 2012 to get this thing done, said one associate.

I despise these allegations. They are unfounded and scurrilous in their attempt to blacken the name of one of America's finest citizens. I want to join with zgers everywhere in deploring these ugly accusations. Let's find out who these thugs are and impress on them a consciousness they will not soon forget. America, awake!

I think bombing the Price is Right would be the ultimate anti-American act.

Aslan, you should consider adding a few Wal-Marts in there while you're at it.

Default Stop Tormenting The Monkeys In The Zoo!

Aslan:

On behalf of ALL of us fans of Mexican food everywhere, please, PLEASE:
PUT THE STICK DOWN!

As if Three Tippy Tacos doesn't have enough problems without having to worry about their mighty monopoly of 1 crashing down! Spurrilous comments like this might cause them to stop their daily devotion to making the all-perfect taco and worry about subversives trying to do them in! (There is strong evidence that Jesus Himself stopped by the Three Tippy Taco Stand on His way to India and got a few with a Diet Coke to go, crucifiction having built up a healthy appetite as I understand it!)

Perdon! Sorry for the misprint. Tippy Tacos was NOT on zg's list. He may be a raving lunatic, but he isn't crazy!

Oh, now I can sleep better tonight. Wait...he's NOT a raving lunatic? Maybe I WON'T sleep better tonight!

NOTICE: this is tounge-in-cheek. I hve NO problems falling asleep, now that I have the Complete Home Edition of Stupid Saying on the Internet. (Formerly, the World Weekly News. I considered some snide comment about SilentBob posts, but I will take my own advice about putting sticks down. Besides, he'sgetting enough grief without me!). Plus, as ChefJJ can attest, where I live, there are all SORTS of 'things' around to put one in a relaxed frame of mind if the continuing concern about the demise of Three Tippy Tacos gets to be too much!
