Flourish
There was a SPAM message posted about a DVD for "chip tricks." I in no way wish to encourage support of that SPAM. But, at least, it is not selling a pig in a poke....probably a fun purchase if the price isn't too high.
But that not the purpose of this message.
It is fairly unusual to see someone shuffle chips at a blackjack table. I get comments about it all the time and have other players asking me to show them how to do it. Dealers usually state that there is no question as to what my main game is (implying Poker). It's not Poker. I just decided to teach my self the trick and now, it's as automatic as breathing. I keep a stack of chips next to my computer and absent mindedly riffle them all day long as I work (I work from home).
I've played in a couple of tournaments however, and had to refrain from handling the chips. In tournaments you are required to have your chips stacked by denomination and in such a was as to allow other players to quickly evaluate the amount you have on the table. It was tough to NOT riffle them <smile>.
Is this something that the rest of you do or am I truely the odd man out? Honestly, I've only seen a couple of others handle chips with any skill.
