Winning consistantly. Missing something?

#1
I tracked hundreds of sessions. I used 1, 2, & 4 decks hand shuffled. I used a negative progression up to 4 losses. I incorporated 1 recovery bet into the strategy. I ended the session after winning or loosing 20 units. The results were a winning session 7 out of 10 consistantly. Hundreds of sessions! When i take it to the casino i excercise strict discipline, and follow the srategy to the letter. The results are not the same. I loose more than i win. The results are not noticably affected by the number of players at the table. Head up, i loose, 5 players i loose. I also play basic stategy by the book. I'm not a card counter, and from what i can tell, it only provides a slight advantage. There may be only one 6 left in the deck, and there it is laying in front of you. Even so , i wish i could count effectively, but i cant. Is there any way to win consistantly in this game without counting cards? Why were my results so radically different. What am i missing?

That’s because the house still has the advantage. The odds are against you. You are still going to lose the majority of the hands you play (about 49%, with 43% wins and 8% pushes) so don’t be surprised when that big losing session wipes out all of the profit from those 70% winning sessions. Read through some of the links in the sticky thread at the top of this forum for more info on why progression systems don’t work.

This should get you started with some other techniques to beat the game consistently:

No.

(Well, there are other ways, but it's usually even more esoteric stuff like shuffle tracking and ace sequencing, or holecarding, or just plain cheating... card counting is the easiest).

Unless the sessions were very long, mere hundreds of sessions, in the grand scheme of things, isn't that many. You probably just had a lucky streak while at the kitchen table. And unfortunately, you had an unlucky streak once you hit the casino. Which is a major drag. However, the house still had the same advantage the kitchen table did the whole time.

It's good to stay disciplined and stick to the gameplan when you're at the casino. Unfortunately, that's only a loss mitigation strategy.

If you can afford to play at the $50-$200 range, you can make money without counting by exploiting the casinos comp policys. Read Max Rubins Comp City.It kinda works at any level of betting, but works best if you play mostly black.
