Well i ventured to a local reservation for some high stakes play today. They only had 2 high stakes tables open, which was good for my lone play, but bad because the dealer and pit wanted to chat it up non stop since i was the only one in there. So i obligued and found that counting was pretty much the same as a full pit of tables...once i could stop mid hand once in a while and finish a conversation while i got my bearings straight.

My second dealer was a women, 40s-50s, 75-80% penetration (i looked slightly over 1D cut), holy hell was it nice. During the 2nd shoe, toward the end we hit damn near 20 on maybe 10 hands out of 13 maybe. The TC was medium-high coming into that patch of cards, but jesus, it was an avalanch and of course that sunk me into negative TC quickly, but it was the end of the shoe. What i noticed when she took out the remaining cards in the to shuffle up was the standard insertion between the other 5D burned, but she never stacked any within 1D of the top. And so the hand shuffle began, and the top was shuffled within itself 3 times, then placed on the bottom, and the rest of the 5D were shuffled and stacked. So there i am sitting with the cut card and knowing the bottom 40 -50 cards has and abundance of at least 20 - 10s if i was correct. So i cut deap so the first part of the deal was going to positive, and i upped my bets from 25-50 to 50-75 and played 2 hands for 5 deals. I think i ended up winning $450 on the front of the shoe and excused myself to the bathroom, which caused a reshuffle.

Of course when i got back, a person sat down and i colored up and went to the other table, a 2D game with looked to be bout 70% penetration, and the stakes were limited to $25min, $200max which sucked. Shoe 1, won $50, TC never moved more than a couple either way. Shoe 2, it all went to hell. I was betting $50 min and upping to $100-125 on a decent count...So $50 first hand, lost.....$75 second hand, lost....$125 third hand, push, and im sitting next to the burn with probably 16 cards stacked, and 2 10s burned.....count was high....push out table max $200...get 11 to his 14....double....ace...12 to 14...12 to 19...****. Next hand table max $200, i get 19 to a 5...ok finally, can i get some luck at this point, the count is screaming 10s o plenty.....5, 6....4.....5....WTF? are you kidding, half the deck is gone and and theres what, 3 10s that have been used? Ok down to my last $200 of the alotted daily BR..... i get 20....which of course im thinking...yep....shows ACE.....christ if i had any more money i wouldve played insurance , and that was the end of my day. wouldve been nice to finish the shoe, it was probably only 10s left at that point ....oh well, next time.


PS.... While i was there, "Scott H., please report to the poker room" was annouced on over the speaker....I never pay attention to those PA's, but maybe thats where ScottH is now?
